November in Wisconsin is like Houston in early June, it’s only just begun...

I live in Texas but I’m from South Dakota. Last winter, just after New Year’s, my 94 year old grandfather went to the hospital. My dad, brother, and I made an emergency trip up there. By the time we finished the 13hr, thousand mile drive, he was fine. We stuck around for 3-4 days until they were ready to release him and we knew he’d be okay (he’s fine).
While we were there, the highest temperature was -5F. We didn’t see 0F again until we made it out of Kansas on our way back home. You know it’s bad when you’re happy to see single negative digits and start to think that that’s the cutoff for “nice”.

It’s even worse in North Dakota.

Yes, North Dakota is worse in every way.

You'll get used to it. In March this will feel like shorts weather.

One of the things I miss about Wisconsin. 35 feels warm and balmy after a long cold winter. T shirt and shorts weather. The other thing? Pumpkin Patch in Egg Harbor . Maybe next year. Issues kept me away this year :(
